When supplying your own computers there are a few things you should keep in mind:
- The computers must be fairly new and fast enough to handle the workload placed on them by the POS software.
- They must be running Microsoft Windows XP Professional.
- They must have enough serial, parallel and USB ports to connect to your other hardware, such as printers and customer displays.
