Give a Little to Make a Lot Part 2 -- Rewards & Loyalty

If you reward your customers with a customer loyalty program, they will come back to spend more money.

Did You Know That...

  • It is much easier to get an existing customer back into your store than it is to get a NEW customer into your store.
  • It also costs a lot less; industry studies estimate that it costs 20%-40% more to gain a brand new customer than it costs to have an existing customer give you repeat business.
  • Almost 70% of customers stop buying from a store or restaurant (and therefore bring their money elsewhere) because they feel a sense of indifference. If they don't think you care about their business, they will buy from somebody who does.

A couple more loyalty tips

  • Put a pile of postcards next to the register, where customers give you their personal information. Most customers will give you their name, address and e-mail address if they know they will receive special offers from your business. You can then use this information to mail and e-mail information to your customers. The more you contact them, the more often they will shop.
  • Give your customers plastic loyalty cards. Loyalty cards -- which can either be wallet-sized cards, or miniature key-chain cards -- serve you in 3 ways. The first is this card is a physical reminder of your business in your customer's wallet or on their keychain. Secondly, all you have to do is scan their card to look them up (no lengthy searches.) A third benefit is the card automatically ties to their loyalty program.

To Sum It Up

Customer loyalty and rewards features are all built into version 10.0 of Cash Register Express and Restaurant Pro Express. If you are not using them, you should be. We also sell loyalty cards, which can be custom made with your store logo, in full color, on the front of your card.
