Salon Iris Salon Software Works With Existing Bar Code Labels

Salon Iris salon software works easily with most bar code scanners. Using a bar code scanner is optional, but they can speed up your checkout process tremendously. We recommend using a Metrologic 9540 bar code scanner. Salon Iris salon software works with the bar code labels that come on your products, or you can print your own labels. You may want to print your own labels if you make artwork or clothes, or have cosmetics that do not come with bar code labels.

Label Printers That Work With Salon Iris Salon Software

You can print bar code labels on the following printers:

• Your regular office inkjet or laser printer using sheets of self-adhesive labels. We recommend Avery brand labels.
• A Dymo LabelWriter printer. Dymo printers are ideal for printing fewer labels at a time.

Either way, you will end up with great-looking labels. The images below are actual labels that were printed with a Dymo 315 LabelWriter.

Printing Barcodes with Salon Iris Salon Software

Salon Iris makes customizing and printing bar code labels quick and easy.

Simply select what format you would like to print. If you are printing to Avery brand labels, select one of the 38 predefined formats from Salon Iris salon software. You can also create as many custom label types as you want.
