Services for Beauty, Hair, and Nail Salons and Spas

Salon Iris salon management software allows you to enter a list of services, prices, and descriptions your business offers. Service statistics can be viewed in various reports. The information tracked is shown below:

  • Description
  • Default time it takes to perform service, including employee time exceptions. An exception is when a certain employee takes longer than the default time to perform a service. The time feature is optional and works when scheduling appointments.
  • Setup, processing time, and finish time (including exceptions)
  • Default price and employee price exceptions. The default price is used unless an exception price is entered for an employee.
  • When a service is sold, the client's balance is altered accordingly
  • When a timed service, such as tanning, is sold, the client's tanning minutes are changed accordingly. Employee commission can be awarded when a service is sold.
  • Up to three products may be entered that must be purchased when a service is sold.
  • Back bar charge (if any). Back bar is the cost of products that a salon uses to perform a service. For example, if a perm costs $80, but $10 of perm solution is used, the back bar is $10. If your stylist gets commission on amount of services sold, the stylist would not make commission on the back bar amount. So, in this case, for a perm, the stylist would only make commission on $70.

Editing a service or creating a new service is simple and efficient.

Pre-Paid Services

Quite a number of spas, beauty/hair salons, and tanning salons do pre-paid services. Clients may purchase pre-paid tanning visits, facials, manicures, haircuts, etc. Unlimited types of pre-paid services can be tracked (for example, Sue Smith may have a 10 massage pre-paid package, a 5 visit pre-paid facial package, plus 10 pre-paid tanning visits). Also, you can track how many pre-paid services are remainining for a client.
