The COVID-19 crisis has affected everyone’s daily lives.
Businesses are closed, either temporarily or permanently, while those that remain open have had to make drastic changes.
For POS Nation, that meant ordering all employees in our Charlotte, North Carolina office to work from home. We have additional remote team members located in other parts of the U.S. whose working conditions remain the same.
With stay at home orders potentially coming to an end, we wanted to be transparent about plans for our Charlotte office and share the preventative measures that will be in place.
POS Nation is an essential business and we take pride in being able to serve thousands of other essential businesses nationwide.
Ensuring Employees Are Safe Upon Arrival
Before the team gets the green light to work in the office, it will be thoroughly cleaned and all desks will be six feet apart from each other.
Once the office is ready to go, employees who are having a difficult time working from home have the option to come into the office. Said employees must contact POS Nation’s CEO for approval prior to working in the office.
After the stay at home order has been lifted, our sales and tech support teams will return to the office. However, individuals who are immunocompromised or have health-related concerns about working in the office may continue to work remotely.
Our team is monitoring all CDC guidelines and recommendations for the state of North Carolina regularly. Changes may be made to these action items according to guidelines.
Preventing the Spread of COVID-19
It’s our top priority to keep employees safe and healthy. To prevent the spread of COVID-19 and combat illnesses from being transferred among our team, we will also operate under the following rules until further notice:
- Maintain social distancing
- No use of the conference room or offices for meetings
- No eating together in the lobby area
- Only one person in the kitchen at a time
- If possible, only one person in the bathroom at a time
- Workspace must be cleaned before and after each shift
- No sharing food (e.g., pizza party or food from home)
- No sharing your keyboard or mouse
- Doors throughout the office remain open during business hours
- Main door remains open when possible for air circulation
- No visitors
Signage listing these new rules will be displayed throughout the office as a reminder.
